Our Beliefs

At Coward PH, our beliefs are rooted in the Bible and reflect the Articles of Faith of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It reveals God’s plan of salvation and provides truth and direction for how we should live.

One God

We believe in one true and eternal God who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into Heaven, and will return again.

Salvation

We believe every person has sinned and needs salvation. Forgiveness and eternal life are available through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace and cannot be earned through good works.

Sanctification and Holy Living

We believe God calls believers to be sanctified—cleansed, set apart, and completely dedicated to Him. Sanctification is followed by a lifelong journey of growing in grace, spiritual maturity, and obedience to God.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit lives and works within believers. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, and the power of the Spirit to help Christians witness, serve, and live victorious lives.

Divine Healing

We believe God still heals today. We pray for the sick, anoint with oil, and trust God for healing while recognizing that seeking medical care is not condemned.

Eternity

We believe those who place their faith in Jesus Christ will receive eternal life with God. We also believe every person will ultimately stand before God and be held accountable for their response to Him.

The Return of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will personally return for His people. His return gives believers hope and encourages us to remain faithful, prepared, and committed to serving Him.

The Great Commission

We believe every Christian is called to share the Gospel, make disciples, serve others, and help carry the message of Jesus Christ throughout our community and the world.

Simply stated, we believe in Jesus Christ, the truth of God’s Word, the power of the Holy Spirit, holy living, and sharing the Gospel with everyone.
